I am about to replace the original aluminum profile forestay with a new one. I was worried about the strength and the age of the old one with my new bigger sail set. I have also had problems with the original swivel. Manufacturer of it is unknown.

The new system consists of:
-original furler, made by Bartels
-Dyform wire, diameter 7mm
-Bartels aluminum profile
-Bartels swivel
-Special fittings made by myself, see attached drawings
